LFT Updated World Rankings

Following on from the conclusion of the 4th Liquid Football Trophy last Sunday, the massively-important Liquid Football Trophy Official World Rankings have been calculated. And yes, there’s a genuine formula that has been used to come to this conclusion. See below for the final table:

Krakow Veterans return to the top of the pile after winning this year’s tournament, following on from previously lifting the trophy in 2015, and two semi-finals, winning 15 of their 20 fixtures in the LFT.

Last year’s winners Simple FC have been knocked from top spot, after losing out in the semi-finals this year – getting knocked out on penalties to eventual runners up Diamond Geezers, who are the biggest climbers in the world rankings, climbing 13 places from 16th to 3rd.

2016 winners Disaronno Ronaldo have dropped a place, following on from a disapointing campaign this time round, and semi-finalists Ben Dover are the highest-ranked newcomers, sitting in 6th place following on from finishing in the semis, after winning all 4 of their group games – keeping clean sheets in every game.

Kestrel FC are the biggest decliners, dropping from 12th last year to 20th this year, whilst our boys FC Liquid Football have dropped to 15th place. Punchbowl Tigers continue to prop up the table as the lowest ranked team in the world.
